If you need a tablet for your kids, this one will do the job. It has a case with built-in bumpers on all the corners, since we all know little ones drop things sometimes. Each corner is protected, while the main case itself is a plastic material. The screen is not a standard square rectangular, so I am not sure you can buy a stick-on screen protector for it. It may not be necessary. It’s just something I like to do with my tablets to keep the screens nice.
The case has a built-in kickstand-style prop on the back, so you can stand it up on a flat surface. It only goes in the landscape orientation though.
The other features are standard. What puzzled me was that the product description says Android 11, but the tablet I got came with Android Go, which is sort of a stripped-down version of Android. It works with all the apps that came installed on the tablet though. And I was able to add some more apps from the play store, so it seems to work fine. It’s just a tad slower at processing, so opening apps may take a few seconds longer. The kids won’t complain though.
There is an easy-to-use parental app on it. I got in there and was able to adjust all the settings to make it safe for kids without even needing to read a manual. So, it’s pretty straightforward to use. You can expand the memory, but it comes with 32GB, so it’s not bad. The camera is low-resolution, but I don’t think that is the main use for this tablet anyway. Mostly, the kids will use it for the games and apps and maybe watching videos. The display is not very high-resolution and the colors appear washed-out to me. It comes complete with charging cable and plug-in. You are ready to go, right out of the box.
Overall, I think it’s a good deal on an entry-level kids’ tablet with some nice protective features built-in. Easy to use and easy to set up.
