No headphone jack

Overall, this tablet is really sleek. I’ve had this tablet for about 3 weeks and use it often. It has a good bit of weight to it, it loads fast, applications are easy to use (especially the split screen feature), battery life is great, and it is a great size. I only gave it 4 stars because there is no headphone jack. I purchased this tablet so I could have entertainment during long chemo sessions, but watching movies or listening to music is out of the question unless I use wireless headphones. That wouldn’t necessarily be an issue except the Bluetooth adds to faster battery drain.

If you’re looking for a inexpensive android tablet, and do not mind the missing headphone jack, this tablet is a good option. If the jack matters, this may not be the tablet for you.

Let’s start at the beginning. I’m a walking tour guide. I show historical photos that I’ve laminated and put in a 3-ring binder. Very clumsy a best. I thought I’d finally found a tablet that might work. I took it outside on both clear and cloudy days and compared it to my Samsung and Kindle tables. Not enough difference to justify the purchase. There may be some workarounds (non-glare, ground-glass type screen protectors), but I didn’t want to try them – especially if I was going to return it.

Additionally, I was hoping to be able to use a stylus to actively show my guests highlights (draw a circle around something in a historical photo for instance). I tried several hard tipped and soft tipped stylus and none of them worked. The company may sell a stylus that works, but there’s none in the box.

BUT, if you’re looking for a tough, in-the-field tablet that will stand up to employee use and abuse, this one might be a good choice. Watch for other reviews. My review be an exception.

This tablet is amazing. It’s the loudest one and the most durable one I’ve ever purchased.this tablet has 4 speakers (2 on the left and 2 on the right) and it sounds amazing . It’s waterproof and super durable. I’ve had a kinstone,toshido and a chuwi hi pad but this one blows the ones I just listed out of the water.

A rugged tablet with good battery life, perfect for field work.

I picked this up to carry with me in the field and allow me to digitally collect information and signatures on important forms and documents without having to worry about paper copies.

I think it’s about the perfect device for this purpose, given it’s long battery life, rugged construction (including thick rubberized built-in armor/case), and feature set.

When paired with a generic stylus, it works perfectly for this use.

I’m not fully in love with the touchscreen, as I find it’s not *quite* as responsive as my smartphone or some other touchscreens I’ve used… it occasionally feels just the slightest bit ‘clunky’ and I sometimes have to tap more than once to get it to register, but that might just be my technique as well.

As another reviewer mentioned, the lack of a headphone jack is kind of a bummer, but I think I understand why they left it off (much harder to waterproof a device with a built-in hole in it).

I haven’t gotten around to putting any games/entertainment on it yet, but I’m sure I will for longer trips. Based on the specs I’m quite confident it will handle those tasks well.

If it gives me any issues, I will update this review.
